Why we put a message card with every piece

Years ago, the founder of our studio gave her grandmother a necklace for her 80th birthday. Six months later, her grandmother passed. When the family was packing up the apartment, they found the necklace on her nightstand — and beside it, the receipt, with a handwritten note in the margin.

"Best gift I ever got. — N."

The receipt was kept. Not because of the dollar amount. Because of the words.

That's why every piece we ship comes with a printed message card — pre-written for whoever you're sending it to. We thought about leaving it blank, letting the giver write their own. But then we realized: most people freeze when they have to write the words.

So we wrote them for you. You can rewrite them, add to them, or leave them as-is. Just don't skip them. The piece is the gift, but the words are why she'll keep it.
